Kathy Parsons

Kathy is currently a dramaturg for Pacific Theatre in Vancouver, B.C., doing new play dramaturgy for Shanghai Baby by Laara Ong and running their Script Reading Program. The Saddest Girl In The World is her most recent project. As well as being a dramaturg, Kathy is a playwright, actor and director. She wrote both the original play and the screenplay for The Hitchhiker, Jason Goode’s indie movie which has won numerous awards, including best screenplay at the 2007 Global ComedyFest. Kathy lives in Vancouver, with her family and has a BFA in Theatre Studies from York University in Toronto.
